The San Diego NAPA Auto Care Business Development Group (BDG) made Christmas 2023 one to remember for Deanna Fuentas and family.
On December 17, Deanna and her family was presented with a refurbished 2005 Toyota Sienna during a presentation televised on KUSI’s Good Morning San Diego.
Cars for a Cause, made possible by the BDG’s NAPA AutoCare Centers, has been a tradition for more than a dozen years.
Between October 1st and November 30th, 2023, participants could nominate a deserving family, friend, neighbor, or anyone they personally know who deserves a little help with a used vehicle in great
condition. The Official “CAR FOR A CAUSE” nomination form could be completed at any participating NAPA AutoCare SoCal location or on the BDG website
Between October 1 and November 30, 2023, more than 200 applications were submitted. All the nominations are read and reviewed by a selected Car for a Cause BDG team. Once a recipient is selected, NAPA Wholesale Manager John Hartman, who heads the San Diego BDG, speaks to the individuals who nominated the chosen recipient before contacting that individual.
Nicole Martinez, a great friend of Deanna and her family submitted the 2023 Car for A Cause nomination on-line. Deanna and her family are very thankful. We presented the vehicle and keys during the KUSI Good Morning San Diego broadcast along with cash to spend on her own family Christmas.

At John's Automotive Care, our community involvement goes beyond automotive services; it's about creating meaningful impacts in the lives of those around us. Today, we share the inspiring story of LH, a retired Army veteran, who has bravely served our nation.
LH's journey post-retirement was fraught with challenges. However, his resilience led him to San Diego, where he found a temporary haven in Warrior Village. His need for reliable transportation was evident, especially with a vehicle that had seen better days.
When the chance to donate a van arose, we knew it was an opportunity to make a real difference. The van, coming from the family of MCPO Robert E. Dennin, another veteran who served our country with distinction, was the perfect fit for LH.
LH's reaction to receiving the van was nothing short of overwhelming gratitude. This vehicle has not only eased his transportation woes but has also been a crucial tool in his recovery and reintegration journey.
This story is a testament to the power of community support and the difference we can make when we come together. It's a reminder of our ongoing commitment to those who have served our country and the impact of thoughtful, compassionate actions.
We invite you to read more about LH's story and join us in our efforts to support our veterans and community members in need.

Ronald McDonald House has a fun way to teach children about Philanthropy and John's Automotive Care is proud to be a part of it!! It all starts with the tabs on soda cans. Simply snap off the tabs on your soda cans and collect them and bring them in to John's Automotive Care and we'll take them in and get them weighed. The recycling center will then cut a check to Ronald McDonald House! It's really simple! Think that this won't amount to much? Think again. Ronald McDonald House raises over $30,000/year with this program.

As traditional San Diegan's, we've all recognize how hard our military families work to serve our great nation. But that service is hard not only for the enlisted, but also for the families of enlisted personnel as well. Things such as automotive breakdown, and repair occurs to us all.
John's Automotive's staff is ecstatic to be involved with the local HomeFront El Cajon organization. This local organization is involved in helping to bridge the gaps when our military families are in need.
Homefront El Cajon is a non-profit organization partnered with our 501(c)3 partner The Navy League of El Cajon. Their mission is simple, “To provide a hand up to the military families in their time of need.”
As a valued customer of John's Automotive Care, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for putting your trust in us to maintain your vehicle(s). Bring this letter in with you on your next visit and receive $10 off your next service.

You can turn your discount into $25 off your next service simply by supporting our 20th Annual Toy Drive by bringing in an unwrapped toy or gift certificate from a department or grocery store with a value of $10 or more by December 14th.
